Good to read your description of Jaipur’s Man Sagar. The lake is getting conserved, thanks to the citizens’ initiative taken by way of the Birding Fair here since 1997, and Jal Mahal Resorts Pvt. Ltd. having chipped in to remove sewage.Is there any other example like this in India? The 13h Birding Fair will be on 2 and 3 Feb 2010.

Last time we visited Jaipur (2 years back) there was no water near Jal Mahal Palace. Part of it looked like a swamp. We were dissuaded from visiting the palace. From your photographs, it looks like the lake is brimming with water now. We would love to stop over during our next visit to Jaipur.
