The first live report I am reading on the fair. Would love to see a more detailed writeup on the happenings of the fair.

I read somewhere that the water in the lake has been removed for some repair/cleaning works but the local administration fills up some small ponds at the edge of the lake for people who want to take a dip.

When I was in Pushkar about two years ago, I was walking into the Brahma temple and was asked to leave the bag behind. But they then had no cloak rooms at all. I offered to leave it with the cops themselves who stopped me, but obviously they refuse to take care of it. I then bought flowers for the sake of it and left it at the vendor who sold them to me.

I love kota-doria sarees but nowadays the print on the sarees fade very fast. The colours do not run, but the print fades leaving you with a whitish sare. Not economical at all.
